Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal which is used in severe fungal infections. It is used to treat athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, tinea and also sometimes in pityriasis. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline and Tolnaftate are also used in cream which are also antifungal drugs.
Ketoconazole is only used when other medications fail as it can cause major side effects. Though this drug is also available in oral form but not commonly recommended. Common side effects are

Only use cream in severe conditions. Prevent overuse. Apply gently on the infected skin area after cleaning properly with water. The cream may have a side reaction with other products so make sure to aware the doctor if any side medication is going on.
