Permethrin Lotion

Permethrin 5%w/v Lotion 50ml With Carton –  is an antiparasitic medication. It is used in the treatment of scabies, it is a condition in which tiny insects infest and irritates your skin. Permethrin belongs to a class of drugs known as pyrethrins. This medicine works by killing insects (mites) and their eggs.

Symptoms of scabies include an intense itching that is usually worse at bedtime. You may also see small, fine, wavy lines on the skin with a tiny insect at the end. Burrows are usually found on finger/toe webs, wrists, elbows, armpits, belt lines, lower buttocks, female nipples, or male genitals. Dead mites can itch for up to 4 weeks after the treatment, even if the permethrin kills scabies.

Your doctor will explain how to use Permifast Lotion and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine to make sure you use it correctly. Your skin should be clean, dry, and cool before using it. Your whole body should be washed thoroughly 8-14 hours after you have used this medicine. Most people only need to use it once to treat their condition but, if a second application is needed, wait at least 7 days. Sometimes itching may last for a few weeks after treating scabies. This is probably an allergic reaction to dead mites and not a sign that the treatment has failed.

The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild and not everyone gets them.

Before using it, let your doctor know if you have any skin conditions or allergies to medicines, food, or other substances, or if you have asthma. Though this medicine is generally thought to be safe, you should ask for your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
