Soap-Free Cleansing Lotion

Cleansing Lotion (Cetyl Alcohol 2.650% W/v + Stearyl Alcohol 0.260%w/v) – Cetyl Alcohol prevents rough, dry, itchy, scaly skin and skin irritations. It works as a moisturiser. As in dryness, the water is lost from the upper part of the skin, the moisturizer forms an oily layer which prevents water to escape. Stearyl alcohol is used in many cosmetic products which act as an emulsifier and prevents liquids and oil to separate.

Side Effects

Though many alcohols have negative effects on the hair and skin, cetyl alcohol comes in the category of fatty alcohols which are harmless. Very rare side effects include

• stinging
• burning
• irritation
• redness

These reactions are only seen in a few people who are allergic.

Usage

As it is a lotion, apply on the skin gently after cleaning the infected area. Use a limited amount so that it covers the required skin part.
